This hotel is very large with a lot of staff - I don't know what they did all day as there were very few people staying at the hotel. Large marble lobby area and hallways but no guests. The shops looked closed but if you entered, the staff would jump to attention and were egar to serve.
The room was basic with typical hard beds. Our shower was great - I was told hot water was hit and miss but it worked for me.
Knowing nothing about Tsedang, I can't say if the hotel is placed very well but there was lots to see when we ventured out on walks. I had a feeling there weren't a lot of choices of where to stay but this place was good.
It's a new, clean hotel in a new town, rapidly being established near Tsedang. Despite its newness, there were a lot of cigarette burns in the carpet. Perhaps the hotel should consider having no-smoking rooms !
The bathroom had a modular shower stall, with built in lighting and music; there are side jets and rainshower head, neither of which we could get to work. At least the regular showerhead delivered a good supply of hot water. There was no mold on the walls and the stall was very clean.
The breakfast staff got up early to prepare a lot of different kinds of foods for us (all delicious !). I think they were a little disappointed we didn't eat more.
The bed was very uncomfortable - it felt like sleeping on springs. I don't think that even a few more layers of blankets would have helped and I ended up with a crick in my neck that took three days to get rid of.
The room facing the street was a little noisy; luckily, there was not a lot of traffic late at night, but as the town grows, traffic might increase. There are several grocery stores within a few minutes walk.
Otherwise, the room was spacious and nicely appointed with table and chair, as well as 37 channels of TV, all in Chinese language.
